11. Ben Chillwell (Chelsea, £200k)

The Left-back Chilwell signed a new deal in early 2023 that saw him land a pay rise taking his wages to beyond £200,000-per-week and added another two years to his spell at Stamford Bridge. His spell at the club has been filled with highs and lows, which again has been as a result of injuries. We all know that on his day he can be a very good fullback both defensively and as an attacking option.

WORTH THE MONEY ?— Mmmh I expected more, so its a no from me.

10. Reece James (Chelsea, £250k)

Not too long ago he was getting best RB in the world shouts…However, due to injuries and poor man management with being rushed back into football he was been consistently sidelined for long periods over the season and this has hampered his form. We all know on his day he is arguably one of the best players in the world in terms of attacking and defending. One can only hope we see those levels again soon.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — For me yes, he needs time to recover and hopefully we will see him at his best again.

9. Kalidou Koulibaly (Chelsea, £295k)

The 31-year-old Senegalese defender was once crowned one of the best defenders in Europe and it was why Chelsea came calling. He managed to earn the most lucrative contract of his career and one could not blame him for making the switch to Chelsea. There are still question marks onto how his move to Chelsea has turned out.. I think judging him when the team has stable management going forward would be a better time to judge him.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — Not just yet

8. Casemiro (Man Utd, £300k)

The Brazilian superstar has been nothing short of a sensation sense joining from Real Madrid. One can argue that without him Man Utd would not be in the situation they are now, One trophy and UCL football. He deserves to be earning up to 450K if it was up to me.

WORTH THE MONEY ? —OF COURSE

Goal against Bournemouth — which helped gurantee UCL football

7. Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea, £315k)

Fernandez has signed a mammoth 8.5-year contract at Chelsea worth £315,000-a-week and has been okay in this first season at the club. I do think we can expect more from him with Pochettino coming to manage the side and see those performances that we witnessed in the World Cup for Argentina more frequently in the premier League.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — Lets wait and see.

6. Raphael Varane (Man Utd, £340k)

Varane’s quality has never been in doubt — nobody has four Champions League gold medals alongside winning the World Cup and isnt considered one of the best in their positions. However, there have been some injury setbacks.

For majority of the season the French defender has looked back to his commanding best. Forming a fine partnership with Lisandro Martinez at the back, United aren’t the same team without him. Together the form one of the best partnerships in europe.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — mmh I would say yes.

5. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, £350k)

Salah signed a new deal until 2025 that made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history. He continues to be one of the best wingers the Premier League has ever seen, producing amazing stats season after season.

But it’s safe to say Salah has earned his pay rise and, despite Liverpool’s struggles, has kept banging in the goals with regularity.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — OF COURSE

4.Jadon Sancho (Man Utd, £350k)

The fact that he is paid the same amount as Salah for doing not even getting close to the output and impact that Salah has on his team. Man Utd’s management are still hoping for a better return on investment for the player that has failed to impress this season. For us fans, we just hope to see more glimpses of what we know he can produce and from what we saw at Dortmund… But time is not on his side and he has to start producing or else he may become another Dele Alli.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — Stealing a living.

3. David De Gea (Man Utd, £375k)

De Gea is by far the Premier League goalkeeper pocketing the most cash per week — second-placed Kepa Arrizabalaga gets a relatively trifling £150k — and United’s shoddy defending last year meant he earned every penny.

The long-serving keeper for Man Utd deserves his wages, although I think now is the time for the club to let him go. He will always be a Man Utd Legend.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — In the beginning yes. But for now he is stealing a living.

2. Erling Haaland (Man City, £375k)

Haaland’s first season in England has already seen him pretty much break every goal scoring record under the sun. He is being paid a handsome sum for his services, but so far he has been worth every penny.

It normally takes players a season to acclimatise to Pep Guardiola, but, at £375k a week, the 22-year-old ended up winning the Golden Boot with 36 Goals.. YIKES!

WORTH THE MONEY ? — PAY HIM MORE.

1. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City, £400k)

No one can deny that KDB deserves his money. He can do things with the ball certain people(sancho) dream of doing. He was been a revelation ever since he moved to Man City. For me he has cemented himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League History. Although, people have become sceptical with his recent injuries in finals with people putting it down to anxiety… I still firmly believe he has been a key component for this Man City side in big games. WHAT A PLAYER.

WORTH THE MONEY ? — OF COURSE.
